We got married on January 8th, 2022 in Charlottesville, VA at King Family Vineyards. We were so excited to have a dusting of snow coat the mountains the night before - it was truly the perfect winter wedding! (Shout out to the bridesmaids for freezing their toes off for our wedding party portraits!) We had an AMAZING team of vendors who executed our vision for the day flawlessly. It was so much better than we could have ever imagined. We wanted it to feel like an intimate dinner turned dance party, and that's exactly what we got!
From our first look at the Quirk hotel, the cozy ceremony in front of the fireplace at King Family, to the wild dance floor during the reception, we could not have asked for a better day filled with so much love from our friends and family.
I surprised Mark by reserving the whiskey bar, Bobboo, at the Quirk Hotel for the groomsmen to get ready and I'm so glad I did! I LOVE the pictures of him in there and they had so much fun!
The girls got ready in our suite at the Quirk, and I got them all button downs with everyone's pet's on them! I was SO excited to give these to them. They were all so amazing and supportive throughout the wedding planning process I wanted to give them something they'd wear again!
Mark's dad was actually our wedding officiant, which made the ceremony extra special.
Our first dance was to "Always Remember Us This Way" by Lady Gaga.
We opted to do the traditional speeches during our rehearsal dinner, which ended up being one of our favorite parts of the weekend. It was so intimate and heartfelt to spend a night with our closest friends and family before the big day. This also left time for Mark to give a thank you speech at the reception, which was something he really wanted to do. He had the whole room laughing and crying at the same time!
I don't think either of us left the dance floor all night. Mark's excitement for the day came out early when he sprayed a beer on everyone dancing and that really got the party going! Shout out to our guests who were breaking it down on the dance floor and having a blast all night - we had so much fun with everyone!
Not captured by our professional photographer, but at the end of the night, we did a moonlight dance, just the two of use while everyone lined up for our send off and although our dance moves weren't quite up to par with our first dance, I loved having that moment just the two of us to take in the whole night!
